I Dance to Johnny Cash by ~Kage-Ichihashi:iconKage-Ichihashi:

Perhaps you’ll think I’ve gone mad
But I laugh to “Folsom Prison Blues”
Maybe you’ll think I’m strange
But I dance to Johnny Cash

Perhaps you’re right when you say I’ve gone mad
‘Cause I laugh to “Folsom Prison Blues”
Maybe you’re right when you say I’m strange
‘Cause I dance to Johnny Cash

But the idea of shootin’ a man just to watch him die
Strikes a chord in this sad heart of mine
And so I’ll wear black to pay tribute
And I’ll dance to Johnny Cash

Perhaps you’ll think I’m insane
But I cry to “Ring of Fire”
Maybe you’ll think I’m crazy
But I dance to Johnny Cash

Perhaps you’re right when you say I’m insane
‘Cause I cry to “Ring of Fire”
Maybe you’re right when you say I’m crazy
‘Cause I dance to Johnny Cash

But the feelin’ of bein’ burnt by that ring of fire
Strengthens the heart of this dead romantic with desire
And so I’ll wear black to pay tribute
And I’ll dance to Johnny Cash

Perhaps you’ll think me gone
But I grow furious to “Hurt”
Maybe you’ll think me lost
But I dance to Johnny Cash

Perhaps you’re right when you say I’m gone
‘Cause I get mad to “Hurt”
Maybe you’re right when you say I’m lost
‘Cause I dance to Johnny Cash

But that power and hurtin’ in his voice
Leaves my anger no choice
And so I’ll wear black to pay tribute
And I’ll dance to Johnny Cash

:salute: In homage to Johnny Cash :salute:

For as long as I can remember, this man was a voice on the radio constantly. And since I only ever listened to Country as a kid, I definitely grew up on it. Johnny Cash, though he made many mistakes in his life, was a great man. God Bless him.

Just felt like listening to him earlier thanks to Ice...the next thing I know, I'm listening to "I've Been Everywhere" and get this nearly overwhelming impulse to jump around and dance on my bed. Then I realized, "Whenever I hear this man, even if the song's sad, I want to dance." Don't ask. I am weird. -nod nod-
